Beautiful spot but wish we had of known about the amount of stairs to get to and from pool. My partner has a bad hip.

A really relaxing stay in a beautiful hotel.

The property, room and views are all exceptional. The staff are friendly and helpful and we had a really relaxing stay here. There are steps down to the beach at low tide and it is a good location to visit the Uluwatu sites and restaurants.

We had a room with a private pool, just to note the ground floor version of this room has no privacy. The view is lovely as it looks over the pool and the cliffs, but there are sun loungers for other guests very close so they can see onto your balcony area even in the evening as people were dining on the pool island. I would go for a room on a higher floor if possible in future.

Stunning Pool with views to die for

The most amazing backdrop, the sunsets were just divine. Pool amazing , great service around the pool as well .

Things are a little dated. It definitely needs a little face lift or a tweak in places. We got upgraded to a villa, which was very beautiful, saying that the dressing at the bath tub didn’t work . It’s the little things for a place this expensive. I found the food to be very underwhelming for the price nothing special at all

Quiet luxury with amazing views

We stayed at the Anantara for a week in a sea view room. The rooms are gigantic, especially if you come from Europe and are used to small apartment living. Room amenities are good and the bed is large and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast every day on the 6th floor of the hotel where they served a wide variety of Western and Indonesian food. The pool area is beautiful with an amazing view over the ocean, especially at sunset. If you are a surfer,this is an unbeatable location. A flight of stairs from the hotel takes you to the famous Impossibles surf breaks, far less busy than the nearby Padang Padang beach. On the topic of steps, there are a LOT. The hotel is built on a steep site and so just from the main hotel down to the pool there are at least 50 steps or perhaps more. Very good exercise but perhaps may be less suitable for someone with reduced mobility or difficulty going up/down stairs. What really made this hotel stand out was the exceptional service from all the staff. It was a pleasure interacting with all of them every day.

We ate a couple of times for dinner at the hotel but that was a bit hit and miss, and our only area of disappointment. The dinner food in the 360 restaurant is very heavy with seemingly no lighter choices and we had a poor seafood pot pie with undercooked pastry in the other restaurant. My one piece of advice to management would be to look at what other local restaurants are serving. For example The Loft restaurant nearby had far superior food for dinner.

The villa was dated and felt well overdue for a freshen up. For the price, I’d expect there not to be cupboard doors requiring fixing, sliding doors sticking or outlets not working

Luxury stay in Uluwatu!

Great location in Uluwatu! BEAUTIFUL view of the beach from the property. The sun sets on this side of the island which qas AMAZING. Resort pool was our favorite part of the property. What a great vibe to really sulk in Uluwatu. Location is walking distance to a few restaurants, bars, and spas. The property offers taxi service on the spot (however more economical to use Grab). But a really great convenience to have. Great spread for breakfast! Many options. One the BEST in-room showers ever!!! We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa/suite. Great space! My only objection to the room is, it's not as private as I hoped. Other room accommodations could easily see into our in-room pool area... Very helpful staff willing to go above and beyond!

Very romantic, ideal for couples or those looking to relax. Not suitable for children or elderly due to steep walking required.

We came for our honeymoon. It’s quite secluded if you’re happy to stick to the resort

The view and pool is amazing. The food at the restaurants were ok a little pricey. We loved the breakfast buffet

The room was old with quite a few defects, water damage and there was a wasp in there when we arrived and quite a lot of mosquitoes. The toilet would always block and some things were broken or needing to be repaired. It’s a bit secluded which is was nice for our honeymoon but if you are wanting to venture out there’s not much in walking distance.

A spacious haven in the clifftop.

The room was fantastic and the restaurants were really great. The staff were always helpful and genuine, working really hard to keep the place amazing.

The lounge lacked space and effort, the hotel needs a bar to help guests socialize. The guidance about the surrounding area was weak and inaccurate. We paid a lot of taxi money to got to a bar which was only only open for an hour to two hours. Good inside knowledge would have avoided this disappointment.

They try but property is tired

Comfortable beds, spacious room, superb view, lovely pool area, good breakfast buffet. Accommodated a late checkout

Dated and tired decor, staff although friendly and try to be helpful are not of the caliber that we experienced during 3 weeks in Bali. other than breakfast and pool restaurant the others are below average.

Very disappointed with the honesty of this hotel.

The breakfast was great. Loved the view.

The housekeeping very poor no towels replaced.had to keep ringing for dry ones.the Floors in room wet and slippery all the time.an item of clothing was taken from my room while I was out when I tried to recover this was fobed off and told my family must have stolen it. They were with me. The only persons that were in room were housekeeping. So go figure for yourself. So had to leave hotel minus this article.

Taxis in Bali Hotel location Humidity on the room so the floor was very wet and slippery. I felt and I almost broke my toe. I didn't report it to the staff because I stayed just one night and spent the majority of the time outside. I still have pain in my toe because of that. And it was wet even the day after, it was crazy and very dangerous.
